Biscom is a well established Midlands based innovative recruitment and training organisation with over 15 years experience in delivering high quality provision. Biscom contracts with Jobcentre Plus and the Learning & Skills Council. Due to our highly professional, easily accessible central locations we have attracted clients from all the districts and all groups and have worked successfully with them over the years. Biscom have delivered a variety of significant output driven contracts funded by the then Wolverhampton and Walsall TEC, Birmingham TEC and the Employment Services/Jobcentre Plus and through the Learning & Skills Council.

Biscom has recently been chosen as Prime Contractor in the delivery of JCP New Deal Provision and as such have already proven their expertise, track record and commitment to the delivery of JCP provision and working with the client group. Under New Deal, Biscom has developed working capacities with clients with a low level of basic skills or qualifications; a disability or long-term illness; Lone Parents; those out of work for more than 12 months; and minority ethic clients. These experiences have allowed Biscom to establish excellent working partnerships with Jobcentre Plus advisors and local employers.

Biscom has also become a subcontractor for the delivery of a range of New Deal provision across the Black Country and Staffordshire. Steps to Work are the main contractor for the Black Country and Juniper Training for Staffordshire. Biscom has a good working relationship with both Prime Contractors and has been selected as a result of excellent Job Entry performance.

In the Black Country Biscom holds a Programme Centre contract due to finish in September 2008 and in Birmingham and the Black Country an independent Basic Skills Assessment contract finishing in March 2008. These contracts are held through Jobcentre Plus however do not form part of the Prime contractor arrangements.

2C previously specialised in LSC contracts offering, Apprenticeships, E2E and Train to Gain. These contracts have now transferred to Biscom and achievement will be enhanced by the larger more effective organisational structure. The benefits of joining both companies are substantial. We can:

  • Offer a greater service of provision to our clients
  • Utilise both employer databases to cross market services including:
    • Placements
    • Work experience
    • Job opportunities
    • Post employment training
    • Customised training
    • Upskilling the workforce
    • Commercial training
  • Provide a better, more comprehensive service to employers
  • Bid for larger, more flexible contracts
  • Provider a more secure future for our employees
  • Benefit from cost savings on premises etc
  • Benefit from shared resources and experienced staff.

As an organisation we are performance orientated and have clear targets to ensure the achievement of agreed outputs for all contracts.
